Burdens are heavy. That is no secret.
But what can I help someone else carry VS what they have to carry for themself?
What weight am I under that I have to carry VS what Jesus can carry for me?
The weight of “must carry” can only find rest by learning to carry like Jesus.
Jesus does not always take the weight away, sometimes He offers a way to carry.

The Holy Spirit does not want any blood bought son or daughter of the living God, through faith in Jesus, to be wondering whether they’re in the family or not. And just as sure as you can know if you are in the family, you can know if you are filled with the Holy Spirit. Romans 8 gives us indicators and experiences that every Holy Spirit filled Christian can identify or evaluate in their own life.

Am I saved? That's a question so many people wrestle with. And the way you live and think can be an indicator of whether or not the Holy Spirit dwells within you. Living in the Spirit has certain rewards. But living in the flesh has inevitable consequences. In Romans 8 we are challenged to "Get busy living or get busy dying."

How you think makes a difference. It is an outflow of walking in the flesh or walking in the Spirit. Do you find yourself in desire fulfillment mode? Or do you have the faith required to delay personal satisfaction as you chase the purposes of God? This sermon from Romans 8 will help you take your troubles out of the temporary context and put them in an eternal one.

Living by faith? What does that look like? Since Scripture clearly states you cannot please God without it, every believer is seeking to understand how to walk in it. Faith is not only the way into the Christian life, it is also the way forward. And if you are feeling a sense of hopelessness or defeat, what you really need is faith.

Where and how we spend our time greatly varies from one person to the next. Full time mom's schedules and skillsets look vastly different from that of a full time mechanic. But there is one place where we all come together. Every person who carries the name of Jesus bears a common calling. Our Greatest Calling.
In 1 Samuel 16, no one saw it coming when a common shepherd was anointed king, but God does not pay attention to the things we pay attention to. What made such a commoner so extraordinary? Tune in to this weekend's worship experience.

God Still Heals. But, asking a sick person if they want to be healed seems like an insensitive question... to us. But for the hurting and hopeless, Jesus has a question. And not just any question. THE QUESTION. Do you want to be healed? Join Pastor James in John 5 for this Bible Study examining the question of Jesus and the response of the hearer. If you feel as though hope is lost, may this passage restore it to your heart.

The law can define righteousness. The law can demand righteousness. But the law cannot deliver change because the law isn't the problem. I am.
In this week's study of Romans 8, you will begin to understand why this is one of the greatest chapters in the Bible for the believer. As John 3:16 is to the lost, so is Romans 8 to the child of God. It reveals that victory is possible at greater depths than mere behavior, for God has made a way for change of the heart and mind.

The Power to Change: Part 3
The Bible promises gradual, incremental but markable change in the life of the Christ follower. But, before you can be free in practice, you must first be free in principle. The first step into experiencing God's power to change is accepting your power to choose. Because of Christ, the only thing holding you back from His transformative poweris you. May we open our Bibles and our hearts for this powerful message from Romans 8:2.
